This is one of those looks that you do when you are short on time but you really want something bright & poppin'. What happened here is I was supposed to be meeting friends somewhere....I over slept and was awaken to a phone call asking if I was on the way?! LOL.....

you know how the rest of that story goes....

Now on to the makeup........

Brows: Inglot Brow Pencil #503

Prime the entire eye area with Two Faced Shadow Insurance.  Starting on the lower lid and working your way up, apply the Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream #20 using a MAC 242 Brush. Blend this product up to just past your crease area. Be sure that the color fades up inot the crease, you don't want to see any harsh lines (even though we are just starting). Next using a MAC 239 Brush pat Magnolia Makeup Pigment -Mystique, and fade it up through the crease as well.

For the crease take a MAC 217 brush and apply Magnolia Makeup Pigment- Puddin', to your crease using a back and forth, windshield wiper motion. This will help create a gradient effect in your crease as you blend the color upward to just below your browbone area. For a more fair skintone try using a color like MAC's Quarry eyeshadow, or whatever color face powder you may use.

To finish the look off apply Inglot Gel Liner #85, to the lower lash line, & the lower lash wet line using a MAC 266 Brush. Using a MAC 219 Brush take the Magnolia Makeup Pigment -Reptile, and brush it over the top of the lower liner and wrap it around the inner corner of the eye fading it into the blue. Finish with Mascara and you're done!

As a MU Professional I often buy things that I like in multiples. One for my personal use, one for my kit, and then back ups just in case I run out. I was going through my makeup collections, as I do every couple of months, and I have come across quite a few items that have never been used, or that are gently used (and by gently I mean once or twice). INGLOT Lipstick Review

I remember the first time I ever thought about purchasing any lipsticks from Inglot. I was having a conversation with another makeup artist who, had gone to NY and stopped by Inglot before heading to the airport to return home. She told me how she purchased only one color because even though she had heard good things about the company, she still wanted to try it out for herself. Turns out that she loved the lipstick so much she has since replaced all of the lipsticks in her kit with the lipstick palettes from Inglot!

It was then that I decided that I simply MUST try some of these lipsticks for myself! You know that feeling that you get when you hear someone so excited about something that it makes you want to try it as well?! lol

I searched the internet looking for some nice clear swatches of colors but found myself coming across the same shades. I finally just said forget it and purchased the shades I was interested in. Besides, if I didn't like it for myself, I could always use them in my kit.

So I purchased my lip palettes and put up the swatches.....and I was so excited about finally getting my swatches up that I forgot to tell you my thoughts on them! So here we go......

TEXTURE:
The lipsticks come in a variety of textures from cream, to frost, and i have one texture which I think looks like the baby of a frost & a lustre, with the payoff of a cream....magnificent!

WEAR:
As with many lipsticks this varies, depending on what and how often you eat or drink. I have noticed that when I wear these lipsticks the color goes on smooth, and silky. Not too thick, and has a nice slip to it, BUT not so much slip that I feel like it's going to slide off my lip! On an average day of wear I have yet to re-apply this lipstick, (now granted I always prep the lips with MAC Prep + Prime Lip). I find that enough of the color and product remains that I may simply just touch up my gloss, and I'm good.

COLOR/ PIGMENTATION:
As with the other Inglot products I have tried.....the color you SEE is the color you GET. No surprises here. You can sheer the color down if you would like, by adding a gloss or lip conditioner, to the product, or to your lips before application. The strong color payoff of these lip colors may be another reason why they wear so well.

Exotic Aqua Eyes

This look was requested by one of my Youtube Subscribers~ It was for a Bollywood inspired look using Red, Copper, Aqua, Gold, and Glitter! I didn't do a whole look, as I am going to wait until I get a new camera for that, BUT i did create an eye look for it. Here is the end result, complete with tutorial....

Simply Summer

I have been meaning to post this look for a while, but life and prom season took over my schedule! ha ha ha -With things starting to calm down a bit, I plan to start posting more often .

This look is very summer to me. Plus it is neutral, simple, and works for ANY outfit, day or night! I hope you enjoy it!

To get this look I used:

Skin: I primed my sking with MAC Oil Control Lotion & MAC Prep + Prime Face Protect SPF 50. I then applied MAC Studio Fix Fluid mixed with a few drops of MAC Lustre Drops in Sun Rush. I mixed the foundation and drops  on my makeup palette and then buffed it on lightly with a MAC 130 Brush.
I set just the T-zone of my face with MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural.

Cheeks:  I applied the same lustre drops that I mixed with my foundation to the highest point on my cheekbone just below the outer corner of my eyes, and I buffed that in, using a circular motion with a MAC 224 Brush. I then applied MAC Raizin Blush to the apples of my cheeks, and contoured my cheeks with MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Give Me Sun!

Eyes: I used MAC Brow Pencil in Spiked for my eyebrows. Two Faced Shadow Insurance was used on my entire eye area,. As a base color I applied MAC Soft Ochre Paint Pot to my entire eye area, using a MAC 217 Brush. To my highlight & mobile eyelid, I applied Inglot Eyeshadow #30 using a MAC 239 Brush. I placed MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Give Me Sun! through my entire crease & MAC Saddle Eyeshadow through my outer crease, both using a MAC 217 Brush. Instead of white, I used a cream colored eyeliner on the lower waterline of my eye. I used a MAC 209 Brush & Inglot AMC Gel Liner in #77 to apply my eyeliner to the top lash lines only & the number of the lashes escapes me. (sorry!). For mascara I used MAC Studio Fix Lash in Black.

Lips: I first applied MAC Prep + Prime Lips and then lined my lips with MAC Lip Pencil in Boldly Bare, fading it in just a smidge and then going over the top of it with Inglot Lip Paint #66. Lastly I applied a touch of Inglot AMC Lip Gloss in #546 to finish!

OH! I almost forgot! Anytime I have glowing skin on my face, I also like the rest of my body to match sooooo....if you notice a subtle sheen on the rest of my skin that you can see it is the MAC Skinsheen Leg Spray in Dark!
